Aidan's drawing

Here is a drawing Aidan did of all of us in the yard. He has Pippin dressed in a Link costume. I think he is a great little artist.

Aidan's & Pippin's visit

Aidan came for a sleep-over today. The first time he has stayed over night alone with us (without Ian or Mia), but he did bring his trusty dog Pippin. He likes for Grandpa Eddie to swing him in the back yard. He had fun playing with his characters, and drawing them also. We had fun today, and I read him a story before he went to bed.

THE BIG 60!

Yesterday was the big day I turned 60. Where have the years gone? We didn't do much because of the rainy cold weather, and the fact that my earache was still a problem (BUMPER). We did eat out, and go by Barnes and Noble book store. Well, we did take this picture just for the occasion.

Mickey cuts Eddie's hair for the first time

How does Eddie's hair look? I used the clippers that Jim and Tisha gave him for Christmas, and cut it myself for the first time.

Ian's visit

One day last week Ian came to stay with us. Besides going down in the woods to the hanging vine, he worked on building a log house. Of course he wanted me to put him in a picture with his house, so I had to make him much smaller to fit. I thought it looked pretty cute. Here it is.

Christmas is over

Yes, all the wrappings are thrown away, and even the tree is back in it's boxes for another year. What a year it has been. Can you believe that Ginger and Chris have been married for over a year now. We are all so happy for them. Their visa's for Brazil still have not been issued, but we have hope that It will soon happen. God does things in his own time.

Tisha, Jim, and the grandkids are doing well. It is so much fun to see them grow. Ian found the hanging vine in the woods behind our house, and now when he is over, it is the only place he wants to go. This time of year it is so cold that I can't see how he can stand it. Of course in the summer there are to many weeds, snakes, and such, that it isn't safe to go down there. Mia still likes to play in the make-up and jewelery, and the Barbie dolls are a favorite toy. Aidan likes to play out the video game characters such as Link. He looks just like the little dud when he dresses up! We gave him a sword and shield for Christmas. It made a good addition to his outfit.

We haven't heard much from Courtland in China. He has been to Hungjo for part of the holidays. His girlfriends family lives there. We keep hoping that he will find a good job and make enough money to come home more that he does. We all miss him so much. Mia just said the last time she was over here how much she missed him. We all had such a great time at the beach this past summer. Thanks to Jim getting us this great condo 1/2 block from the water. I have two wonderful son-in-laws.

We haven't met Ya, Courtlands girlfriend, but she seems to be a very sweet, and ambitious woman. Maybe she will get to visit the United States someday.

Today I am at home suffering from an earache. I think it is a little better from yesterday thanks to Tisha sending over some ear drops she had. I know I should go to a doctor when I have these problems, but unless it's life threatening, we can't afford the cost of medical care.

This is my first post since I started this blog. I kind of lost it ha ha.
